Software Agreement
SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT
Version 1.3 Effective Date: August 25, 2026
Copyright (c) 2026 AeroPoint Automation LLC. All rights reserved.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THIS LICENSE CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING OR USING THIS SOFTWARE.
This Software License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("Licensee") and AeroPoint Automation LLC ("Licensor").
This software is licensed, not sold. By installing, copying, or using the software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
1. GRANT OF LICENSE#
Subject to the terms of this Agreement, the Licensor grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the software solely for the Licensee's own internal business purposes.
The software may be installed only on the number of computers or users covered by the license(s) purchased. The Licensee may transfer an installation between computers owned or controlled by the same organization, provided the software is removed from the previous computer and the total number of active installations does not exceed the number of licenses purchased.
EVALUATION USE. The Licensor may make the software available for evaluation without a purchased license. An evaluation period is limited both in duration and in the number of assessments that may be processed, begins when the software is first launched on a given computer, and ends when either limit is reached. It may be offered only once per computer. All other terms of this Agreement apply during an evaluation period.
No ownership rights are transferred under this Agreement.
2. OWNERSHIP#
The software, including all source code, executable code, user interface, documentation, graphics, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights, remains the exclusive property of AeroPoint Automation LLC.
This Agreement grants only the right to use the software under the terms described herein. No ownership or intellectual property rights are transferred to the Licensee.
3. RESTRICTIONS#
Except as expressly permitted by this Agreement, the Licensee may NOT:
• Redistribute, sublicense, sell, lease, rent, lend, or otherwise transfer the software to any third party.
• Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code or internal operation of the software.
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices, trademarks, or license information.
• Use the software to provide hosted, managed, SaaS, bureau, or commercial processing services for third parties without prior written permission from the Licensor.
4. DATA AND GENERATED OUTPUT#
This software processes assessment data regarding identifiable individuals.
The software operates entirely on the Licensee's own computer. Assessment data is read only from folders selected by the Licensee and written back to locations chosen by the Licensee.
No assessment data is transmitted externally except:
(a) an optional update check, which transmits no assessment data; and
(b) a bug report that the Licensee voluntarily composes and sends, with an optional diagnostic log attached only if explicitly selected after the exact contents are displayed; and
(c) a license validation check, described below.
LICENSE VALIDATION. The software contacts the Licensor's licensing service to verify that the installation is licensed. Each check transmits only: a one-way hash of a machine identifier, the license key if one has been entered, the software version, and the product edition. No assessment data, candidate information, file names, folder names, or extraction results are transmitted. The machine identifier is hashed before transmission and is not reversible to identify the computer. Validation results are stored locally so that the software continues to operate for a period without network access, as described in Section 10.
The software requires a working network connection the first time it is run on a given computer, in order to complete this validation. Once validated, it operates without network access for the period described in Section 10.
(d) EVALUATION SIGN-UP. Where an evaluation period is started, the software additionally transmits an email address supplied by the Licensee, and receives a verification code at that address. The address is retained by the Licensor and is used to administer the evaluation and to respond to the Licensee.
Before the address is supplied, the software displays how it will be used, and the Licensee confirms having read it. The address is used to send the verification code, to ask about the Licensee's experience of the evaluation, and to inform the Licensee about the software. IT IS NOT SOLD, RENTED, OR SHARED WITH ANY THIRD PARTY. The Licensee may ask the Licensor to stop sending such messages at any time, by replying to any of them or by contacting the Licensor at the address in Section 12. Such a request is honored for every installation associated with that address. The Licensee may request removal of the address at any time by contacting the Licensor at the address in Section 12, and it will be deleted. No assessment data, candidate information, or file names are associated with it at any time.
The Licensee remains solely responsible for complying with all applicable privacy, confidentiality, and data protection laws governing the information processed by the software.
The Licensee retains ownership of all input data and all reports, documents, and other outputs generated using the software.
5. RESPONSIBILITY FOR RESULTS#
The software is intended to assist with extracting, organizing, and formatting assessment information.
Extraction from third-party assessment documents is performed on a best-effort basis and may not always be accurate.
The Licensee is solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and approving all generated reports, calculations, interpretations, and exported documents before relying upon them or distributing them to any person or organization.
6. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS#

No component of this software is licensed under the GNU AGPL. PyMuPDF was removed on 2026-08-15 and is not distributed with this software.
7. SOFTWARE UPDATES#
The Licensor may, but is under no obligation to, provide software updates, bug fixes, improvements, or new versions.
Unless accompanied by a separate license, any updates provided become part of the licensed software and are governed by this Agreement.
Future versions may contain different functionality or licensing terms.
8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY#
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OR ERROR.
THE AUTHOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL MEET THE LICENSEE'S REQUIREMENTS OR THAT ANY RESULTS GENERATED BY THE SOFTWARE WILL BE COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY#
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.
IN ANY EVENT, THE AUTHOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE LICENSE.
10. TERMINATION#
This Agreement remains in effect until terminated.
This Agreement terminates automatically if the Licensee breaches any material term of this Agreement.
Upon termination, the Licensee must immediately cease using the software and remove all installed copies from its computers and storage devices.
Sections relating to ownership, warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law shall survive termination.
SUSPENSION OF OPERATION
The software validates its license as described in Section 4. Where a license has expired, has been revoked, has been suspended for non-payment, or was never issued, the software will disable its processing functions and display a notice stating the reason and how to restore service.
The following are expressly preserved whenever the software is in that state:
(a) the software remains installed and may be launched;
(b) all files, reports, and data previously produced by the software remain on the Licensee's computer, unaltered and fully accessible. The software does not at any time delete, encrypt, withhold, move, or render inaccessible any of the Licensee's data;
(c) settings and the problem-reporting function remain available, so that the Licensee can report any problem, including a licensing problem; and
(d) restoring a valid license restores full operation without reinstallation and without loss of any settings or data.
CONTINUITY DURING SERVICE INTERRUPTION
If the licensing service cannot be reached, software operating under a purchased license will continue to operate normally for a period of not less than seven (7) days from the last successful validation, so that an interruption on the Licensor's side does not prevent the Licensee from working.
This continuity period applies to purchased licenses only. An evaluation period under Section 1 ends at its stated limits whether or not the licensing service can be reached.
11. GOVERNING LAW#
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
12. ENTIRE AGREEMENT#
This Agreement constitutes the complete and exclusive agreement between the Licensor and the Licensee concerning the software and supersedes all prior representations, understandings, or agreements relating to the software.
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
